The name "Trump” resonates across the globe, often associated with luxury, vast beauty and real estate prowess. Among the notable achievements bearing the Trump Brand, Trump International stands out as the pinnacle of architectural grandeur and luxury living. The Trump International legacy has spanned continents over the decades, as the Trump International brand has left an indelible mark on the world of real estate and hospitality with a host of Trump International Hotels & Resorts located globally.
The inception of Trump International began in 1995 as business magnate Donald J. Trump began envisioning a series of commercial real estate projects that would redefine luxury and extravagance. This project was a joint venture between General Electric and Donald Trump which entailed extensive renovations to the once Gulf and Western Industries headquarters. Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City situated at One Central Park West in Manhattan, New York marked the beginning of a new phase inside the Trump Organization. This sleek and towering structure introduced to the world the Trump International experience. Completed in 1997, the building's mix of luxury residences, hotel accommodations, and upscale retail spaces set a new benchmark for the hospitality industry.
Donald Trump’s exuberant big thinking embarked on the mission to create iconic structures that would become synonymous with the Trump Hotel repertoire. This included the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii which opened on November 16, 2009 overlooking the Kahanamoku Lagoon. Earlier that same year Trump international Hotel and Tower Chicago officially opened on January 30. The 92 storied structure overlooking the Chicago River, costing 847 million dollars officially opened on January 30, 2009. The previous year saw Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada situated on the renowned Las Vegas Strip opened on March 31, 2008.
Building on the success of the Trump International Hotel & Tower buildings in the United States, Trump International expanded its footprint across the globe. Honing in on the world golf The Trump Organization shifted the focus of the family business to the development of world class golf courses. Trump international Golf Links Scotland opened on July 10, 2012. The 1400 acre site in Aberdeenshire, Scotland is also home to the Trump MacLeod House & Lodge Hotel which is inspired by Donald Trump’s mother Mary Anne MacLeod Trump who was a proud Scottish born citizen. In February 2014 Trump Hotels acquired Doonbeg Golf Club which today is known as Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland.
The Trump Organization also spearheaded acquisitions in the Middle East, further diversifying the Trump International portfolio. On February 18, 2017 the official opening ceremony of Trump International Golf Club Dubai was conducted with Eric Trump & Donald Trump Jr as guests of honor. Located in the DAMAC Hills, the Clubs facilities include a 9 hole indoor training academy and a 30,000 foot clubhouse just to name a some of the fine amenities on offer.
